Inmate found dead in Montgomery County jail
FULTONVILLE -- A 19-year-old man taken into custody last week for allegedly stealing guns and alcohol apparently committed suicide at the Montgomery County jail.
Authorities said the body of Kurtis W. Glasser of Sprakers was discovered at the jail at 3:56 a.m. Tuesday.
The Sheriff's Office and state Commission of Correction are investigating.
John Caher, a spokesman for the commission, said there were 19 suicides in 2008 at jails and prisons in the state. The commission assists in investigations of all apparent inmate suicides, Caher said.

PLATTSBURGH - Lansingburgh's game plan was to run the ball on Beekmantown during Friday's Class B state quarterfinal matchup at Plattsburgh High School.

The Knights were paced by three quick running backs, who combined for 453 yards rushing and seven touchdowns as Lansinburgh cruised past Section VII's Beekmantown Eagles, 57-16.

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greece will cut spending further but it won't impose new taxes, its finance minister said Monday, adding that talks with international debt inspectors on a second rescue package were at a "difficult and critical" stage.
Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos said spoke after meeting in Athens with officials from the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund on how to keep his debt-strapped nation afloat.
