Fed: Opposition says Shier must explain executive salaries

The Opposition wants to know whether ABC managing director JONATHAN SHIER has appointed
more senior executives under his management.

Opposition communications spokesman STEPHEN SMITH says it is vital that Mr SHIER explain
whether additional money is being spent on senior executives.

And, if so, he wants Mr SHIER to explain where that money is coming from.

Mr SHIER has reportedly created positions for an extra 55 executive managers in the
national broadcaster at a cost of $7.4 million.
