Sox team up to battle disease

Market Bar, 1113 W. Randolph, will host a charity event Thursday after the White Sox home opener in honor of Larry Pogofsky, a Sox owner and board member who died last year. The event ($50 for food and drink from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.) will raise money to fight sarcoidosis, which he had. Among those scheduled to attend are Sox manager Ozzie Guillen, general manager Ken Williams, Ozzie Guillen Jr., Frank Thomas and Greg Walker, among others.
