Sand Lake The State Police will not file any charges against the town or any more charges against those involved in a wedding fireworks display that went awry and caught fire at Crooked Lake in June.
Jackie Herron of Troy was issued an appearance ticket for a violation of town law for allegedly failing to inform the Averill Park Fire Department about her midnight display. She had applied to the town supervisor's office for and received a permit to launch pyrotechnics at her wedding's grand finale but one of the Roman candles tipped over and ignited the whole setup, at once sending rockets and sparks into the party guests …
